Forged Steel Gate Valve

1.The forged steel gate valve consists of forged steel valve body, disc, stem, bonnet, handwheel and other components. The disc adopts an outside screw & yoke (OS&Y) rising design, where the lifting height of the stem is intuitively visible, facilitating the judgment of the valve's on-off state. The high-pressure model adopts an integral forging process for forgings, free of casting defects, and its pressure resistance is far superior to that of cast steel valves.

2.Chinese forged steel gate valves offer three connection methods: threaded, butt-welded and flanged. The threaded model is suitable for branch pipe installation in narrow spaces, while the butt-welded model is adapted for long-distance high-pressure pipelines, meeting the installation needs of different working conditions. The OS&Y design facilitates online maintenance, allowing judgment of internal working conditions without disassembling the valve.

3.In the valve manufacturing field, A105 forged steel is one of the most widely used carbon steel forging materials, especially suitable for gate valves, globe valves, check valves and other products under high-pressure and medium-temperature working conditions. Compared with stainless steel forgings (such as F304, F316), A105 forged steel has lower raw material costs and wide procurement channels, making it suitable for large-scale production. It is the most cost-effective choice for non-corrosive medium working conditions.

A105 is carbon steel, which is not resistant to corrosive media such as acids, alkalis and salts, and is only applicable to neutral or weakly corrosive media such as water, steam, oil products and natural gas. If the medium is corrosive, it needs to be replaced with stainless steel forgings (F304/F316).
