The new-generation national standard GOST 33259-2015 is the current mainstream one, which is aligned with the international system and partially compatible with DIN parameters. Q: Is there any difference in the PN unit between GOST flanges and DIN flanges?

A: Yes. The PN unit of GOST flanges is kgf/cm², while that of DIN flanges is bar, and the two are approximately equivalent (1 kgf/cm²≈1 bar). No conversion is required for procurement. All DIYE products are marked in accordance with GOST standards and directly meet local installation requirements.

Q: What material of GOST flanges should be selected for the extremely cold regions of Russia (Siberia/Far East)?

A: 316L (03X17H14M2) or 2205 duplex stainless steel (022X22N5M3D) is preferred. 316L is resistant to low temperatures of ≥-70℃ and chloride corrosion. 2205 duplex stainless steel can withstand low temperatures of ≥-100℃ and features high strength and anti-brittle fracture performance.
