Core Working Principle


The pneumatic actuator of the Pneumatic Operated Sanitary Butterfly Valve drives the valve stem to rotate the valve disc, thus opening and closing the valve. When air enters one side of the actuator, it pushes the piston, causing the valve stem to rotate, completing the opening and closing action. Depending on the actuator structure, it is available in two modes: double-acting and single-acting.


- Double-acting actuator: Alternating air intake and exhaust from both sides achieves forward and reverse valve disc rotation. Suitable for scenarios requiring frequent opening and closing, it offers stable operation and strong adaptability.


- Single-acting actuator: Driven by air intake on one side, the other side relies on spring force for automatic reset upon air supply failure. This ensures safe pipeline operation and avoids potential safety hazards in case of air supply system failure.


Furthermore, the valve opening and closing angle can be flexibly adjusted via the actuator. Some models support stepless adjustment from 0° to 90°, meeting both basic pipeline opening and closing control and fine flow regulation needs, adapting to different production scenarios.
